DAYS 1-3 WITH SANIDERM:
keep waterproof saniderm bandage on for 3 days (max 5 days). Only remove in shower very slowly with running water. DO NOT TAKE OFF DRY!!!
DAYS 4-7 AFTER SANIDERM IS REMOVED:
wash tattoo with unscented soap (dove/dial are best!) make sure you pat dry with a clean paper towel. After tattoo is dry, apply a VERY thin layer of Aquaphor! repeat this twice a day for 3 days. Do not rebandage or put saran wrap (this could cause infection)
DAYS 7-14:
apply unscented lotion, such as Lubriderm, to your new tattoo. It is completely normal for your tattoo to shed the top layer of skin while it is healing! the days it takes for a tattoo to heal vary for everyone!
REMINDERS:
- do not use exfoliants or scrubs during your healing process! do not pick at your tattoo!
- avoid direct sun exposure/ pools/ lakes/ open bodies of water or baths for at least 3 weeks.
- avoid picking/scratching your tat! Try to avoid tight clothing over the area!
- always wash your hands when caring for your new tattoo
